Functional Behavior Assessments

The Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) is an assessment that determines the function- or root- of the challenging behaviors that your child is exhibiting.

When we determine the “why”, we are able to craft an effective, individualized behavior intervention plan that focuses on reducing and preventing challenging behaviors while teaching functionally alternative behaviors. The functional behavior assessment allows us to look at what environmental changes need to be made in order to best support your child’s learning. The information collected from the FBA lends to a detailed, individualized behavior intervention plan which will outline strategies specific to your child’s needs. Caregivers and other professionals working with your child are provided with coaching from our team to collaboratively and effectively implement your child’s plan and make lasting change in you child’s behavior.
