We are a diverse team of passionate professionals trained in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

We are devoted to tailoring individualized behavior analytic interventions to clients, families and schools. Our staff include Board Certified Behavioral Analysts (BCBAs), Board Certified assistant Behavioral Analysts (BCaBAs), Licensed Behavior Specialists (LBS), and Behavior Technicians.

Kristen Amoroso, MS, LBS, BCBA
Director

Kristen is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Specialist in the state of Pennsylvania with over 12 years of experience working with children and adolescents with developmental delays in home, school, and community settings. Kristen graduated with honors from Ursinus College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a minor in Biology.  While in her undergraduate program, Kristen began working with children with Autism as a Behavior Technician and quickly developed a passion for the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Kristen earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University, as well as a post-masters certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from Penn State University. Her background in mental health blended with her ABA training allows her to address her clients’ comprehensive needs and take a whole child approach to programming.

Kristen’s professional interests include verbal behavior, school wide positive behavior supports, organizational behavior management, and social emotional curricula. She is a member of The Association of Professional Behavioral Analysts, and Applied Behavior Analyst International. Kristen is a certified Safety Care trainer, and is PEAK level 1 certified.

In her spare time Kristen enjoys spending time at her farm and would one day like to incorporate animal assisted therapies into her practice.

Kamishia Rober, M.Ed, LBS, BCBA​
Director of Behavior Services

Kamishia is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Specialist. Kamishia joined the field of applied behavior analysis in 2014 where she provided direct support to children within their homes and schools. In 2016 Kamishia became a Behavior Specialist while working on her Masters.

Upon completing her Masters, Kamishia joined Building Blocks as a BCBA in 2019. She then became the Clinical Supervisor where she assisted in the development of a supervision program for those seeking to become a BCBA and provided supervision and mentorship.

In 2022 Kamishia became the Director of Behavior Services. In her current role, she provides clinical oversight to clinicians. Her role also encompasses performance management of the clinical staff, ensuring that they provide a standard of care and professionalism to clients.

Dana Bergey, BCaBA
Clinical Administrative Coordinator

Dana Bergey is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysis and the Clinical Administrative Coordinator at Building Blocks Behavioral Services. She graduated in 2019 from Central Methodist University earning her Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Dana has worked in a variety of settings in Southeastern Pennsylvania ranging from in-home, center based, school based, and community based settings. She began her career in 2005 when she was introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis working within her first home program. Graduating in 2007 with her Associates degree and later receiving her RBT certification she continued in the field of ABA making a difference in the lives of children with autism, developmental disabilities and children with challenging behaviors. Dana’s experiences have included verbal behavior, toilet training, early intervention, school age, functional communication training, parent training, staff training and functional behavior assessments. Dana has experience conducting assessments such as functional behavior assessments, VB-MAPP and AFLS. She values evidence based practices and enjoys training and implementing programing and interventions.

Dana first began working in the areas of clinical administration in 2017. She is passionate about completing all the necessary tasks required to ensure all students are receiving the best possible service delivery. From the initial call with the family, to ensuring all staff are set up to see their student, Dana is behind the scenes making sure everything is functioning day to day.

As an adoptive parent, Dana is a passionate advocate for adoption and would like to learn more in regards to trauma informed care for children and families touched by adoption and for children within the foster care system. In her spare time, she enjoys learning to play the guitar, gardening and taking walks with her husband and daughter. Dana also enjoys caring for her pets including two cats, a dog and four ducks.

Kaitlyn Otterbein, MS, LBS, BCBA
Clinical Supervision Coordinator

Kaitlyn is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Specialist in the state of Pennsylvania with over seven years experience working with children and adolescents with developmental delays in home, school, and community settings. Kaitlyn graduated from Drexel University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In her undergraduate program, Kaitlyn began working with children with autism as a Behavior Technician and shortly after began her graduate program. Kaitlyn earned a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Drexel University. Kaitlyn’s interest in assisting individuals with needs peeked in her early years as her grandmother has Cerebral Palsy. 

Kaitlyn’s professional interests include training and educating behavior technicians in the field of ABA, verbal behavior, and social emotional curricula. Kaitlyn is certified in Safety Cares.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Gina Ferriola, M.Ed, LBS, BCBA
Clinical Supervision Coordinator

Gina is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 7 years in the field and experience working with children and adolescents in the school, home and community settings. She graduated from Alvernia University in 2016 with her bachelors of science then went on to Arcadia university to pursue her masters in education. While completing her masters she began working in the field as an ABA therapist within the early intervention setting where she provided direct treatment to students in the school setting. She joined Building Blocks in 2018 while completing her masters. Gina’s professional interests include early intervention, verbal behavior and training and educating behavior technicians in the field of ABA. Gina is certified in Safety Cares and has experience in conducting assessments such as functional behavior assessments (FBA’s), VB-MAPP and AFLS. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.

Ashley Mahady, M.Ed, LBS, BCBA
Lead Behavior Analyst

Ashley is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Specialist in the state of Pennsylvania with over 15 years of experience working with children developmental delays. Ashley graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education.  While teaching in the public school system Ashley developed a passion for Applied Behavior Analysis. Ashley began working as a Behavior Technician supporting students in early education in the home, school and community. Ashley earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education as well as a certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from Penn State University.  Ashley now works as a BCBA supporting staff and students in the Middle School and High School grades levels.

Emily Sawka M.S.E.d, BCBA
Lead Behavior Analyst

Emily is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has experience in the school, community, and home settings. Emily attended the University of South Florida where she earned her bachelor’s  degree in Psychology. After graduating Emily worked as an ABA therapist for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and found her love for the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Emily relocated to Philadelphia to attend Temple University where she completed a thesis on using the Power Card strategy to increase social skills in individuals with developmental disabilities and graduated with a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Professionally, Emily’s interests include functional communication training (FCT), toilet training, and positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS). In her free time Emily enjoys reading, exploring new hiking trails with her dogs, watching sports, and spending time with her family.

Emily Amadio M.Ed., LBS, BCBA
Lead Behavior Analyst

Emily is a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a strong passion for making a positive impact on children’s lives. Born and raised in the Colonial School District, Emily has now come full circle, serving the community she once called home.
After graduating from West Chester University in 2018, Emily pursued her passion for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and completed a Masters in the field from Arizona State University in 2021. With a solid foundation of six years of experience within the field, Emily brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.

Emily thrives on working with children and has a special interest in verbal behavior. She firmly believes that effective communication skills can unlock endless possibilities for individuals with developmental differences. Outside of her professional pursuits, Emily finds solace in reading and finds herself rejuvenated at the beach in Sea Isle City.

Family plays a vital role in Emily’s life, and she cherishes the tradition of Sunday dinners spent with loved ones. With her warm and compassionate approach, Emily is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families, creating meaningful connections, and fostering a brighter future for those they serve.

Spencer Collopy, M.Ed, LBS, BCBA
Lead Behavior Analyst

Spencer is a graduate of Ursinus College with a double major in Neuroscience and Psychology. He recently completed his Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from Regis College and has been in the field of ABA for 5 years. Spencer is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst as well as a Licensed Behavior Specialist in the state of Pennsylvania.

Veronica Flood, M.Ed, LBS
Scheduling Coordinator & Behavior Consultant

Veronica is a Licensed Behavior Specialist in the state of Pennsylvania with a passion to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Veronica graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a concentration of Childhood Mental Health. While in her undergrad program, Veronica was a preschool teacher educating children on fundamental concepts, encouraging social interactions as well as engaging in the core concepts of learning. Veronica went on to become an ABA therapist while earning her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Veronica’s professional interest lies within early intervention, ABA therapy and Autism.

In her spare time, Veronica enjoys photography, spending time with her dog and family at the beach and taking boat rides on the lake.

Michelle Grana
Payroll and Compliance Specialist

Michelle has worked with children for over 25 years. She started out as a daycare teacher then built a home daycare. After more growth and stability in one location she built a brick and mortar preschool for children of all educational supportive learning individually. She grew up as a military brat then became a military wife. Transitioning around the country she was able to achieve a skill set of understanding children’s learning needs through different cultures, ethics, and family expectations. She learned the 8 ways to teach so every student had the opportunity to progress at their best. After selling her unique preschool she moved to her forever home in PA. She became a Registered Behavioral Technician and found a new love for teaching. She is an advocate and voice for the children that are unable to do so for themselves. She also was a social/life skills coordinator for the teen and adult autistic community. Creating a program for socialization etiquette and how to survive adulthood. She has learned different aspects of aba and why every role from administrative to field work, go hand in hand to supply families with the best supportive care for their loved one.

Michelle is a mother of 3 who all have different needs from learning supports to medical. She enjoys helping other moms with their parental and educational rights through IEPs and advocating with them. She feels support has grown since her first child.

Jenna Sinai
Hiring and Onboarding Specialist

Jenna Sinai is the Hiring and Onboarding Specialist at Building Blocks Behavioral Services. She graduated from Rutgers University with her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in health and society. While at Rutgers University, she started her career in Applied Behavior Analysis as a Behavior Technician. Jenna has worked with all age groups in a variety of settings including residential facilities, outpatient clinics, in home, and school settings with individuals with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. She continues to work in the ABA field, where she builds a rewarding career focusing on positively impacting people’s lives. Jenna has a passion for supporting the clinical and professional growth of Behavior Technicians in this field. She loves helping people learn about the ABA field and seeing their growth over time.

Jenna is the first point of contact for prospective employees and responsible for distinguishing qualified candidates to join the team. She oversees recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating potential new team members. Her background provides her with the knowledge and skill set to identify experienced staff to work in the school settings.
